The 5- and 8-port Ethernet switches eCon 7050-B1 and eCon 4080-B1 with M12 interface have expanded the HARTING product range of Ethernet switches with e1 approval from the Kraftfahrtbundesamt (German Federal Motor Transport Authority).

Depending on the application's requirements, the EN 50155-compliant switches with IP 65/67 or IP 40 protection and a vibration-tested M12 Ethernet interface can now be used for passenger information systems and monitoring tasks in buses and trams. If the network has been designed with managed switches, the mCon 7050-B1V and mCon 4080-B1V managed switches, also certified, can be integrated into the network.
